Assessing recent and projecting future metropolitan area economic and demographic change.

About Us

metro economics is an economic consulting firm that projects the economic and demographic future of the United States and Canada at the national, state, provincial and metropolitan area level.

For more than a quarter century we’ve been helping residential and commercial developers; retail chains; private-public infrastructure partnerships; federal, provincial and state departments; and media outlets to identify where their market is today and where it will be in the decades ahead.

Products

metro economics regularly produces and updates detailed projections for the United States and Canada
and for their respective states, provinces and metropolitan areas.

These projections – which cover hundreds of economic and demographic variables for each geographic area
from 2006 through to 2071 – are available for purchase in Microsoft Excel format.

Services

metro economics is routinely called upon to develop customized assessments of the economic potential of client defined regions, communities and neighbourhoods or client specific industries.

Occasionally we are called upon to develop Microsoft Excel based models of particular geographic areas or particular industries for in-house client use.
